IT Trainer and Project Support Specialist

Anders is looking for a professional information technology trainer with IT project management experience to help drive employee efficiency and assist with managing the implementation of new technology solutions throughout the Firm. This individual will be responsible for partnering with the Learning and Development Manager and Chief Information Officer to build and execute an IT technical training strategy, which includes design, development, and delivery of effective training.  

Position Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver highly effective end-user training.
• Create and maintain training presentations, handouts, and any other IT training-related documentation.
• Facilitate group and individual training sessions for end-users through in-person, hybrid, and live-virtual sessions.
• Responsible for facilitating engaging and informative new employee IT technical training and other onboarding activities.
• Responsible for administrating cybersecurity training platform.
• Provide consultation to department leaders and employees and provide recommended solutions for filling technology skill gaps.
• Collaborate with department and functional area leaders to develop training to support new technology and process improvement events.
• Collaborate with Marketing and IT department to design and maintain IT-related content and learning resources on firm’s intranet site.
• Assist with managing roll-out of IT projects from the initiation phase to the closure phase, ensuring that the quality, scope, budget, and timeline of the projects are met or exceeded.
• Support the design and execution of the implementation of new IT processes and software, including business requirement gathering, process documentation, and solutions design.
• Implement change management strategies, ensuring stakeholders and teams are trained and adjusted to new IT processes and software.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and consultants to ensure the smooth and successful execution of the projects.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and presentations that communicate the project status, progress, and results.
• Evaluate existing IT OnDemand training resources for effectiveness and develop comprehensive strategy for using OnDemand training resources to supplement IT technical training initiatives
• Actively participates in cross-functional teams to spearhead innovation and automation for the firm,

Qualifications and Competencies

• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excel at presenting, facilitating training content in a variety of settings – in-person, hybrid, and live virtual.
• Possess experience in designing and developing effective learning materials, courses, and training programs.
• Familiar with and able to implement adult learning methodologies.
• Well-versed in instructional design principles and methodologies and possesses ability to adapt instructional strategies to different learner profiles.
• Demonstrates a strong desire and ability to learn and apply new and emerging technologies to enhance work performance
• Ability to work independently, but also in a team environment
• Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects, meet established deadlines and excel in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrates a proactive and creative approach to problem-solving, continuously seeking new and efficient ways to automate processes and improve outcomes.
• Demonstrates a forward-thinking and anticipatory approach, taking initiative to prevent problems before they arise and actively seeking opportunities for improvement and growth

To help ensure that the individual in this role is set up for success, this role requires full-time on-site presence for the first 3 months at Anders downtown office. 

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, Computer Science, Instructional Design, or Adult Education (or equivalent)
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in IT training or a related field is required
• Proven experience with IT end-user training and/or related adult education
• Most applicable certifications: Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT)
• Must have an excellent, broad-based knowledge and proficient with understanding of all Microsoft O365 end user products.
• Experience using e-learning software such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate
• Experience with software commonly used in Professional Services organizations, such as Accounting, Law, Banking, and Wealth Management firms, a plus
• Some prior experience managing IT projects
